Affiliate Marketing

This is where you get an affiliate link from a company that sells products/services that are likely to appeal to your audience, you put the link in your description, and you have a call to action to click on the link.

When someone clicks on the link and then buys the product, you get a percentage of the sale.

This can be significantly more profitable than adsense alone.

You have to find the right products to promote .

The best way to do this is to first look at what your competition is promoting.

Try out those affiliates (as long as you think they are good of course), and see if they are a good fit for your audience.

Once you’ve found a good fit for your channel, keep on promoting it maximum of once per week (don’t overdo it).

If you don’t have any competitors or you’re in a niche where it’s difficult to find affiliate products, you will have to just try stuff out and find an affiliate product the hard way.

I’ve found networking to really help with this.

Networking with other YouTubers in your niche or even blogs in your niche can be great.

If you aren’t able to find anyone to network with, you can also try out different affiliate networks such as Impact, CJ Affiliate, ShareASale, Rakuten, Clickbank, etc.

You can also look at the website of products in your niche, then scroll to the bottom and look for either “Affiliate” or “Referral” and sometimes they will have a program.

Affiliate marketing is great because you don’t have to worry about the deliverables.  The company takes care of everything else, you just have to worry about the marketing, which is awesome.

That means once you’ve found a great product and you’ve promoted it in a bunch of videos, it’s passive income.
